2020 Coach of the Year:Jill Pace

Tufts

Tufts first-year head coach Jill Pace is the 2020 Women’s DIII News/SNA Sports Coach of the Year.

Pace directed Tufts to a 28-1 record this season, including 26 straight wins to start the season for a school record. She guided the Jumbos to a perfect 10-0 record in NESCAC action, includ-ing tough road wins at Amherst and at Bowdoin.

“This award dates back to 1994 and Jill puts her name among a long list of distinguished winners. Along with SNA Sports, we are pleased to recognize her for her achievement and hard work,” said WDIII News editor and publisher Gary Rubin.

WDIII News has named a Coach of the Year every season since 1993-94.

“Winning every game on the schedule during the regular season takes an outstanding effort from the first day of practice to the final buzzer in March,” said Jim Peterson, president of SNA Sports, a leading basketball goal and equipment manu-facturer. “SNA Sports is honored to partner with Women’s DIII News to recognize Jill Pace and all coaches in Division III college basketball.”
