Welcome to Dakota Dunes Country Club OurClubisaprivatecountryclubestablishedfortheenjoymentofourmembers,theirfamiliesandguests.DakotaDunesbelievesthatinordertopromoteandfurthertheenjoymentofallourmembers,certainrulesofconductmustbeobserved.RulesofconductastheypertaintoareasoftheClubarespecificallyincludedherein.Allmembersshouldacquaintthemselveswiththeserulestoensuretheirownenjoymentandtheenjoymentofourentiremembership.DakotaDunesCountryCluboffersanArnoldPalmerdesigned18holechampionshipgolfcourse,tenniscourts,fitnesscenter,saunasandoutdoorpool.Inaddition,firstclassdiningandsocialactivitiesareofferedforallofitsmembers.DakotaDunesCountryCluboffersaplaceforcamaraderiewherememberscanmeet,socializeanddevelopfriendshipsandassociationswithpeopleofsimilarinterests.ThestaffofDakotaDunesCountryClubstrivestoexemplifyvalueforitsmembersbyprovidingthebestfacilitiesforparticipatinginrecreationalactivities,sponsoringqualityfamilyentertainmentanddemonstratingexemplarycustomerservice.DakotaDunesCountryClubwasestablishedin1989whentheSiouxCityBoatClubwaspurchasedaspartofthefinalstepinestablishingthemaster‐plannedcommunityofDakotaDunes.ThemembershipattheSiouxCityBoatClubbecamethechartermembersoftheDakotaDunesCountryClub,operatedatthenewlynamedTwoRiversGolfClubuntilAugust1991.Aspartofthegrandopeningceremonies,golflegendArnoldPalmerwasonhandtoplaytheinauguralroundof18holesandconductagolfclinicfor3,000spectators.Since1991,DakotaDunesCountryClubcontinuestomatureanddevelop.Foroveradecade(1991‐2001)theDuneshostedtheDakotaDunesOpen,oneofnearlythirtyeventsscheduledonwhatwasoriginallytheBenHoganTour.DakotaDunesCountryClub,oneofthetoughestcoursesonthecircuit,challengedPGAtourplayersfromaroundtheworld.Althoughtheeventhassincemovedon,DakotaDunesCountryClub’snamesakewillalwayshaveaplaceintheannalsofgolf.

Membership Classifications ThreecategoriesofEquityMembershipsmaybeissuedbytheClub:Dunes,SiouxandMissouriMemberships.ThetotalnumberofDunesMembershipsislimitedto425;thetotalnumberofSiouxMembershipsislimitedto200;andthetotalnumberofMissouriMembershipsislimitedto750.Inaddition,fromtimetotime,theClubmayofferspecialmembershipswithspecifictermsandconditions.SuchspecialmembershipsshallbesubjecttoallrulesestablishedbytheClub,includingthoseinthisrulebook.Inordertoprovidetheutmostplayingpleasureforallmembers,theClubreservestherighttoestablishrulesgoverningaccesswhennecessary.Sign‐upprivilegeswillbesubjecttotheGeneralClubRules.EachcategoryofequityMembershipentitlesthemembertothefollowingrightsandprivileges:

DunesEquityMembership,(IntermediateDunesEquityMembership(ages33‐39)JuniorDunesEquityMembership(ages18‐32)DunesEquityMembershipentitlesthemembertofulluseofthegolf,tennis,swimming,fitness,dining,socialeventsandrecreationalfacilitiesoftheClub.Dunesmembersshallhaveanine‐daysign‐upprivilegetoreservegolfteetimesandtenniscourttimes.DunesmembersshallnotpaygreenfeesorcourtfeesforuseofthegolfandtennisfacilitiesoftheClub,buttheyshallberequiredtopaygolfcartfees.DunesEquitymembersreceivetheAnnualTraditionsCardwhichfeaturesbenefitstobeusedthroughouttheClubforthecurrentyear.Thecardmustbepresentedtoreceivethebenefit.

CorporateEquityMembershipTheCorporateMembershipconsistsofoneDunesEquitymemberanduptofiveothernon‐equitymemberships.TheequitymemberwillbeconsideredafullDunesMemberwithallthebenefitsandprivilegespreviouslystated.Theothernon‐equitymembershipswillbeconsidered“riders”underthecorporatemembership.RidersmayconsistofDunesorMissourinon‐equitymembers.Allridersmustagreetoa12monthcommitment;howeverthecorporationmaytransferownershipoftherideragreementonceduringthe12monthperiod.

SiouxEquityMembershipSiouxMembershipsentitlesthemembertofulluseoftheswimming,fitness,dining,dining,socialeventsandrecreationalfacilitiesoftheClub.SiouxMembersareabletousethetennisfacilitieswithaseven‐daysign‐upprivilege.SiouxMembersareabletousethegolffacilitiesMondaythroughFridaywithteetimesuptotwodaysinadvanceandonweekends(onaspaceavailablebasis)withaone‐dayadvancenotice.SiouxMembersshallpaygreenandgolfcartfees.

MissouriEquityMembershipAMissouriEquityMembershipentitlesthemembertofulluseofthetennis,swimming,fitness,dining,socialeventsandrecreationalfacilitiesoftheClub.Missourimembersshallnotbepermittedtousethegolffacilities,exceptasaguestofamember(limitedtofivetimesayear).

Out‐of‐TownMembership(NonEquity)AnOut‐of‐TownMembershipentitlesthemembertofulluseofthegolf,tennis,swimming,fitness,dining,andsocialfacilitiesoftheClubforthosewhopermanentlyresideatleast60milesfromDakotaDunes.Out‐of‐Townmembersshallhaveafivedaysign‐upprivilegetoreservegolfteetimes.Out‐of‐TownmembersshallnotberequiredtopaygreenfeesortenniscourtfeesforuseofthegolfandtennisfacilitiesoftheClub,butwillberequiredtopaycartfees.

Resignation Ifyouchoosetoresignyourequitymembershipornon‐equitymembershipotherthanaspecialnonequitymembership,youmustprovidetheClubwithasixty(60)daywrittennoticeandinadditionpayinfullanyduesowingforyourperiodofmembershipandanyassessmentsapplicabletoyourperiodofmembership.Yournoticewillbeineffectattheendofthatmonthfollowingthe60days.Anyspecialmembershipmustcompletethecontracttermandgivewrittennoticeatleasttendaysbeforethefirstdayoftheanniversarymonth.AnyresignationofamembershipunderaCorporateMembershipmustberequestedinwritingbytheCorporation'sPresidentordesignateduserwithinthetimeframespecifictothemembership.

Voting AllEquitymemberswillhavevotingprivilegestoelecttheBoardofManagersandtodecideothermatterssubmittedtoavotebythemembers.OnallmatterstobevotedonbytheEquitymembers,Dunesmembersshallbeentitledtofourvotespermembershipcertificate;Siouxmembersshallbeentitledtotwovotespermembershipcertificate;andMissourimembersshallbeentitledtoonevotepermembershipcertificate.

Dues and Assessments Anitemizedstatementofanydues,assessmentsandcurrentchargesshallbemailedmonthlytoeachMember.TheelectedBoardofManagersmayfinditnecessarytomakeassessmentstocoveranyoperatingdeficitswhichmayoccurfromoperationoftheClubFacilities.AnyassessmenttocoveroperatingdeficitswillbeproratedamongEquityMembersattheconclusionofthefiscalyear.Inaddition,theBoardmayimplementotherassessments,asdeemednecessary,whichmaybedividedamongallmembercategories.

Payment of Accounts Memberaccountsarepayableuponpresentation.DakotaDunesCountryClubacceptscheck,cash,andcreditcard(Visa,MasterCard,andDiscover).Thereisasurchargeforeachcreditcardpaymenttransaction.Accountsnotpaidwithin30daysareconsidereddelinquent.Anymemberaccountbecoming60dayspastduewillbeplacedona“cashonly”basisuntiltheiraccountisbroughtcurrent.Anymemberaccountbecoming90dayspastduewillpreventthismemberanddependent(s)fromparticipatinginallClubsanctionedeventsuntiltheiraccountisbroughtcurrentandremainscurrentforonefullbillingcycle.Ifthereisadiscrepancyonanaccount,pleasecontacttheaccountingofficeassoonaspossible.Itisthemember’sresponsibilitytokeepcopiesoftheirchargetickets.Managementreservestherighttochargedelinquentaccountsafinancechargeofoneanda‐halfpercentpermonth.

Golf Carts on Property ResidentmembersmayownapersonalgolfcartforuseonthegolfcourseandClubgrounds.AnyoneusingapersonalcartonClubproperty,whetheraGolfingorSocialMember,issubjecttotherulesandregulationsoncartspecifications,registration,liabilityandtrailfee.Youmustbe16yearsofageandhaveadriver’slicensetooperateagolfcartonClubproperty.Annualcartfeesareapplicable.

Guest Privileges Membersarewelcometobringguestswiththemtousethegolf,tennis,swimming,recreationalanddiningfacilities.Theyarealsowelcometoattendsocialactivities.Managementreservestherighttolimitthenumberofgueststhataccompanyamemberonanygivenday.Itisourintentiontoaccommodateasmanyguestsaspossiblewithoutinconveniencetothemembership.AllguestsarerequiredtoregisterwiththeClub,accompaniedbythemember,beforeadmittancetothefacilitytheywishtouse.Allguestsofmembers,managementorthedeveloperaresubjecttotherulesandregulationsoftheClub.ItistheresponsibilityofthememberstomakeallguestsawareoftheClubrules.Immediatefamilymemberswhoareaccompaniedbythememberasguestsforgolfandswimmingwillbechargedaportionofthenormalguestfee.Immediatefamilymembersincludeason/son‐in‐law,daughter/daughter‐in‐law,sister/sister‐in‐law,brother/brother‐in‐law,mother/mother‐in‐law,father/father‐in‐lawandgrandchild/grandparent.Membersdonotneedtoaccompanyguests.TheymaysponsorguestsbyusingtheirmembernumberorbymakingarrangementswiththeGolfShoporDiningRoom.

DiningGuestsMembersarewelcomeandencouragedtobringgueststotheClub’sdiningfacilities.Ifamemberisunabletoaccompanyaguest,he/shemustcalltheDiningRoomtomakethereservationandprovidethemembershipnumberforbillingpurposes.

GolfingGuestsGuestswillbeallowedtogolfamaximumoffive(5)timesperyearevenifwithdifferenthosts.However,aguestmayplayintheMen’sInvitationalevenifhe/shehasalreadyplayedfivetimesasaguest.Immediatefamilymemberswholiveoutsidea60‐mileradiuscanplayanunlimitednumberoftimes.In‐townfamilymembersaretreatedasguestsandsubjecttothefivetimesperyearguestpolicy.Ifthefamilymemberisnotpresentwiththemember,ateetimemustbemadeasunaccompaniedguests.Immediatefamilymemberswhoplaygolfasunaccompaniedguestswillbechargedtheunaccompaniedrateandaresubjecttothetimerestrictionsastowhentheycanplay.GolfShopstaffwilldirectunaccompaniedgroupstoplayteemarkersappropriatefortheirhandicap,andtheywillbeexpectedtofollowpaceofplay.UnaccompaniedgolfersmaybeallowedonthecourseatthediscretionoftheHeadGolfProfessional.

Pool&RecCenterGuestsGuestswillbeallowedtousetheswimmingpoolandreccenteramaximumoffive(5)timesperyearevenifwithdifferenthosts.Immediatefamilymemberwholiveoutsidea60‐mileradiuscanuseanunlimitednumberoftimes.In‐townfamilymembersaretreatedasguestsandsubjecttothefivetimesperyearguestpolicyandmustbeaccompaniedwithamemberatalltimes.

CLUBHOUSE GoodconductandproperattirearerequiredatalltimesontheClubpremises.Thisincludesmember’sguests.Itisthemember’sresponsibilitytomakesurehis/herguestscomplywithClubpolicyandrules.

Clubhouse&TerraceDressCodeAllapparel,includingpants,shirts,denimjeansandshortsshouldbedressyand/orconformtothestylesofferedintheGolfShoporotherin‐lineclothingstores.Cut‐offjeans,T‐shirts,tanktops,haltertops,tubetopsorbathingsuitattirewillnotbepermittedinthemainClubhouseorTerrace.ShoesarerequiredeverywhereinthemainClubhouse&Terracewiththeexceptionofthelockerrooms.InformalattireisacceptablethroughouttheClubduringdaytimehours.Children12andunderareallowedtowearneatandcleanT‐shirts.Inappropriateletteringordesigns,includingapparelthatdisplaysalcoholicbeverages,tobacco,anycontrolledsubstances,profanity,obscenepictures,vulgarity,lewdsayings,etc.arenotallowed.

1. AssoonaspossibletheDirectorofOperations,fortheBoardofManagers,willsendthemembera

letteroutliningtheinfractionsand/orviolationsandthesubsequentstepswhichthatwillbetakenshouldtheinfractioncontinue.TheMemberorMember’sguestwillalsobegivenanopportunity(shouldtheychoose)toappearinfrontoftheBoardandrespondtotheallegationofrulesviolations.

2. Shouldthebehaviorcontinue,theMemberwillreceivealetterfromtheBoardofManagerssignedbythePresidentoftheBoardinformingtheMemberthatshouldanotheroccurrencehappen,theywillbesuspendedforaperiodoftimetobedeterminedbytheBoardofManagers.

3. AnysubsequentviolationwillrequiretheBoardtosuspendtheMemberforadesignatedperiodoftimedeterminedbytheBoardofManagers.

4. Ifthebehaviorandviolationoccursagain,theMembermaybefurthersuspended,uptoandincludingexpulsion.

5. Atanytime,theBoardofManagersreservestherighttoindefinitelysuspendanyMemberbasedontheseriousnessoftheinfractionorviolation.ThisdeterminationistobemadeinthesolediscretionoftheBoardofManagers.

InappropriateBehaviorinClubhousebyMembersandGuestsIfaMemberorguestofaMemberisactinginappropriately,generallydefinedasloud,vulgar,oranyconductwhichdisturbsothermembersandguests,asdeterminedbythesupervisororMODthefollowingstepswillbetaken:

1. ThestaffwillnotifythesupervisororMODofthesituationassoonaspossible.2. Ifwarranted,thememberorguestwillbeaskedbythesupervisororMODtochangebehavior(i.e.

theywillbeaskedto"keepitdown"iftheyarebeingexceptionallyloudandupsettingothermembersandguests).

3. Ifthebehaviorpersists,thememberand/orguestwillbeaskedbythesupervisororMODtoleavetheclubhouse.

4. Ifthememberorguestrefusestoleave,securitywillbecalledbythesupervisororMOD.5. ThesupervisororMODwillinformtheDirectorofOperationsoftheincidentnolaterthanthe

followingworkday.6. TheBoardofManagersmaytakeappropriatedisciplinaryactionagainsttheMemberand/or

excludetheirguest(s)fromfutureuseoftheClubhouse.

UseofCartPathsNojogging,bicycling,walkingorskateboardingispermittedonClubcartpaths.BicyclesandskateboardsarenotallowedonsidewalksattheClub.

LostPropertyTheClubshallnotberesponsibleforthelossofpropertyoranyotherlosssustainedbythemembersortheirguestswhileonClubpremises.LostarticlesthatarefoundandreturnedmaybeclaimedattheAdministrativeOfficeorGolfShop.

SolicitationNosolicitationshallbepermittedonClubproperty.Subscriptions,advertisementsorbulletins,exceptthoseauthorizedbymanagementorrelatingtoClubaffairs,shallnotbepostedorcirculatedonClubproperty.

ComplaintsAllcomplaintsregardingClubpolicies,servicestaff,facilitiesorconductoffellowmembersmustbesubmittedtomanagement.Nomembershallbehaveinappropriatelytowards,harassorattempttodisciplineanyemployee,norshallanymemberrequestanemployeetoleavetheClubpremisesforanypurposewhatsoever.Anyemployeenotrenderingcourteousandpromptserviceshallbeimmediatelyreportedtothemanagement.

ReciprocityInadvanceofreservationsfromthevisitingguestsclub,pendingmanagementapproval,reciprocityshallbegranteduponproperintroductionbywayofletterortelephonecall.
