Workshop Goals
1. Share knowledge about mechanisms that prevent & limit unnecessary immigration, with a focus on alternatives to detention.
2. To share strategies on how to engage with governments on implementing these mechanisms.
3. To equip participants with knowledge of key concepts on preventive monitoring of immigration detention and the role of NGOs in relation to monitoring.
4. To facilitate networking and future collaboration; feed into IDC’s work and strengthening the EU regional immigration detention network.
