A Day of LearningA tiny ant was carrying a green leaf. Soon he saw a

leaf that was much greener.  “Wow!" shouted the tiny ant.  "I want that leaf, too!"  He pushed until one leaf was on top of the other.  He tried to lift them, but he was not strong enough.  He called to the other ants. "Please come and help me carry this leaf," said the tiny ant.

The other ants looked at the tiny ant. "Why do you have to take two?" one ant said.

Another ant said, "Carry only one leaf at a time."The tiny ant did not like what he heard. He tried again

to lift both leaves.        As the other ants marched passed him, one of them said, "Tiny ant is carrying too much.  He will soon learn."  The tiny ant, who was afraid of being left behind, gave up.  Then he got in line with the other ants and marched home.
