WARRANTS SHOULD BE A COMPLETE SENTENCE.

Evidence is often a single word. EVIDENCE IS OFTEN A SIMPLE PHRASE.

In a t-chart you can fix those mistakes you notice in your cluster map.

No citations or quotations at all.AFTER you have paraphrased your evidence in a t-chart,THEN you can add the cited quotations you will using to support your evidence.

Requirements of an ESSAY T-CHARTIn a t-chart you develop the ideas from your cluster map with

details, brief explanations and cite supportive quotations from the text.

Warrants (6) should be in complete sentences. In this essay warrant #1 should state how the character was

How to incorporate quoted evidence in your t-chart.

1. Finish your t-charts first.

2. All your evidence in your t-charts should be paraphrased written in your own words).

3. On the back of your t-chart sheet, draw 2 lines, creating 3 columns; one per paragraph claim.

4. In each column add 2 quotes, WITH PARENTHETICAL CITATIONS. 1. Each quote should support one of your evidence points. 2. You MUST have 2 QUOTES PER PARAGRAPH 3. You should try to have one quote per warrant.

Your chapter notes & character notes are an excellent source of information for quotes and evidence.
