A Green Environment
Solar panels feed power to the batteries which is controlled by the regulator in the house - note currently the batteries are 100% charged. In the upper right the on demand hot water system is powered by propane.
A Green Environment
Power comes from solar, propane & when needed a small generator. Propane powers the refrigerator, stove & the on- demand hot water system. The solar system powers the light,microwave, stereo and even the hair dryer for those special "Island Events". The wood air tight heats the home in the coldest of weather. The rainwater encatchment system is used for gardening. Propane is delivered twice a year by barge and then trucked to the property. Water is provided by a desalinization system that converts salt water to pure, fresh water that is stored in a holding area & then piped to each lot. The system is owned and operated by the Islanders.
