Demystifying approach of survival to thriving

What we can do, may well be the only option!

Can we use the time in displacement as an opportunity to contribute to the investment in existing programmes, infrastructure and innovation that will benefit refugee ? Host community?

Opportunity is in investing and empowering people: creating solution for people we care about

• Twinning and paring: Mafraq strategic plan for refugees and host community (governorate /city) led by UNHCR offers project opportunities (social protection, innovation & self reliance, environment)• Centres for excellence : Use innovation platforms , technology, social

networks that keep young people and adult intellectually curious to come up with ideas and solve problems that will help them on return to build their country • Interdisciplinary skills for the community• Partnership on sustainable energy • Investment in livelihoods for refugees needs to be supported to reverse

negative coping mechanisms

Refugees look for

• Protection • Healing • Learning • Opportunity• Peace and prosperity

Its our willingness to act that will make a difference !

The future of peace is in those who have faced displacement
