“It has revolutionised the way I experience and live my life. Whereas I would have been way too self conscious to join a running group before, let alone wear Lycra, nowadays you will see me in Lycra or a swimsuit most days of the week!

I am no longer self-hating of my body, I like and accept myself, I feel I fully inhabit my body and am part of a community for the first time in my life..” April 2015

Nick runner

For me, it was a new way to motivate myself.  Running for races, I’d done that.  It’s like the perfect combination. I can give something back, do something constructive with my running.

“the defining feature is connection to something bigger than the self. People who lead meaningful lives feel connected to others, to work, to a life purpose, and to the world itself. There is no one meaning of life, but rather, many sources of meaning that we all experience day to day, moment to moment, in the form of these connections.”
