1Flume was one of those
dorky band geeks. He
played the saxophone
for nearly an entire
decade
in his school band.
Flume even attended
band
Camp but he didn’t sick
A flute in his…
3Harley didn’t choose the name Flume because it’s a ravine. It’s actually the name of his favorite Bon Iver track.
4You’d think that Flume would be willing to work with the industry’s leading artists. He might someday but at themoment he says that he is working to build his own brand.
5Flume started out as a prole
slave to the evil capitalists just
like most of us. He worked as a
waiter at the Hard Rock Cafe for
over a year. Flume
notes that he hated having to
sing “Happy Birthday” to diners
celebrating a birthday.
6Flume’s interest in electronic music stems from the music production disc that came with his Nutrigrain cereal whenhe was 11 years old.
7His first album was released on the same day as One Direction’s. The results show that maybe the apocalypsereally isn’t upon us. Flume beat out those cheesyboybanders to take the number 1 slot on the charts.
8Flume’s jump off came from the tracks the he submitted in a music competition held by the Australian record label Future Classic. He submitted “Over You”, “Sleepless” and “Paper Thin” into the contest, won and was promptly signed to the label.
9Flume made headway with American audiences by playing the insanely popular 2013 South by Southwest festival in Austin Texas and the 2014 Coachella show in California.
You’d think that a star like Flume lives in his own multi-million dollar mansion… nope! Flume’s life is quite the opposite. He lives with his mom and dad in Australia.

Flume’s room at his parent’s house also functions as hisstudio. That doesn’t leave much room for the sex, drugsand rock and roll that go hand in hand with music stardom.
