Fundraising is hard work. It steals energy
from your heart. When we fundraise it is
because some human heart has touched
our heart and soul and we want to send love
on its way. We have been moved to want to
make a difference.
We have been fundraising for over 23 years.
Tailrace Centre came into existence through
fundraising. We received donations to the
value of $1.2 million at one of our giving
events. It was an extraordinary morning
and we have continued to experience
extraordinary giving over the years.
Over the past 23 years we have seen people
give $40 – $150,000 at our Miracle Giving
Events. We are always surprised and our
heart beats with gratefulness.
The one thing we have learned about
fundraising is that the best giving comes
when the human soul connects deeply with a
human condition and the one giving wants to
be part of change. Connectivity is one of the
most powerful acts of the human soul.

Terms and Conditions
Please read before signing the booking
contract form. As this is your event we want
it to be very special and personal. For this
reason we want you to feel free to stay in
touch with us to help plan your ideal event.
We check our email regularly and will try to
respond promptly. We want to work towards
you being relaxed and free from the stress of
your event. To ensure the smooth operation of
your event we ask that you acknowledge our
terms and conditions.
Note Regarding Entertainment
If you book a DJ or band please note that we
cannot supply them with our sound system
or microphones unless private arrangements
with our sound technician are made. To
utilize our sound and media equipment will
require a technician at an additional cost. The
microphone provided is to be used simply
for speeches. Some entertainers require a
meal break as part of their contract with you;
please make sure to confirm that with your
entertainment, and then notify us/allow within
your final numbers for catering.
Confirmation and Deposit
To confirm a booking we will require you to
confirm the booking contract and pay the
deposit invoice. The deposit invoice is payable
by cash, credit card or bank deposit. We are
unable to hold preferred dates or confirm
a request for a booking until the required
contract is signed and the deposit has been
paid. Indicating date availability at the time
of the inquiry is not to be interpreted as a
booking – tentative or otherwise. Failure to
meet the deposit and contract requirements
may result in cancellation of your booking
by the Tailrace Centre. The deposit is non
refundable after a 14 day cooling off period
from the date of payment of deposit invoice.
Pricing
Prices are subject to change at the discretion
of the Tailrace Centre. However once a
reservation is confirmed the price will remain
fixed as quoted.
Damages and Cleaning
Part of the hire agreement is that any damages
incurred by you or your guests will be
charged to you.
Cancellation
Should you need to cancel your booking with
Tailrace the deposit remains the property of
the Tailrace Centre. The deposit invoice is
transferrable to another date within 12 months
and based upon availability should unforeseen
circumstances require you to change your
event date. Should your event be cancelled
due to the Tailrace Centre being unable to
perform its obligations under this agreement
for reasons beyond the control of the Tailrace
Centre, including and without limitation
to the following; strikes, labour disputes,
extreme weather conditions, power failure,
accidents; then Tailrace Centre may terminate
this contract and all monies received will be
refunded in full.
Important Dates
Seating plans where required are due five
working days prior to your event. Final account
is calculated on the final guest numbers
provided by the organiser one-week prior.
We can accommodate last minute increases
in guest numbers, however, once final guest
numbers are given seven days prior they
cannot be decreased. In the event of a last
minute cancellation you of course may make
guest substitutions. Final account must be
settled seven days after the event.
