Writing Introductions• Read each example out load with your group.Discuss what kind of information is included in the introductions.

• Brainstorm vocabulary (handout)Complete the handout. Think of any words that you could use in your

paragraphs for the topics that are listed. You can also write words from the example paragraphs.

• Write your own introduction. It should be between 10-20 sentences.

Creating your own blog:• 1) Go to www.blogger.com

• 2) Sign in with your Google account (if you already have one) OR create a blog without a Google account by clicking “get started”.

• 3) Make the title of your blog your first name’s (or what you prefer to be called) Blog• Examples: Nikki’s Blog or Sultan’s Blog

• 4) Make your blog’s address your first name + wr1su13• Examples: nikkiwr1su13 OR sultanwr1su13

• 5) WRITE DOWN your username, password, and blog address so you do not forget them.

• 6) Email me your blog address after you have set up your blog. My email address is nla12@psu.edu

• Example: If I were sending myself my blog address, I would email http://nikkiwr1su13.blogspot.com to nla12@psu.edu.

• 7) Choose a template (design) for your blog.• 8) Your first assignment is to complete your introduction and post it on your blog.• 9) Make sure to click “publish” after you create a post.
