Alper Kanca EUROFORGE President
Dear Members and Friends of the Forging Family,
The future of forging – being the motto of our 1st EUROFORGE conFAIR – strongly depends on two factors: on the one hand we need a powerful and innovative supplier base to ensure reliable processes and state-of-the-art solutions along the whole supply chain . On the other hand, intense research & development efforts have to be taken by forging companies as well as the scientific community . The main aim is to defend and extend the advantages of the forging tech-nology against other competing technologies and provide answers to the future challenges of the industry and the global environment .
The EUROFORGE conFAIR 2018 addresses both these factors . As an opportunity for all kinds of suppliers to present their latest products and solutions contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of the forging companies in the extensive fair and exhibition . And with a conference that covers the latest technological developments by world-leading institutes and innovation leaders from the industry .I am very happy to welcome the members of the forging family at this event using the opportunity to meet and exchange on common challenges and on innovative technical solutions . Welcome to Berlin – welcome to the EUROFORGE conFAIR 2018!

ABOUT BERLIN
Highlights
Museum at Checkpoint CharlieFriedrichstraße 43–45 | 16969 BerlinThe Berlin wall exhibition in the museum at Checkpoint Charlie invites you to see the original artefacts and items that have helped those people that tried to escape over (and under) the Berlin wall . The museum further tells the story of refugees who have risked their lives for freedom .
New Museum/Egyptian MuseumBodestraße 1–3 | 10178 BerlinThe Egyptian Museum and the Papyrus Collection owns one of the world’s most important collections of ancient Egyptian art . Through its pieces of art such as the bust of queen Nefertiti, the portrait of queen Tiy and the famous “Berlin Green Head”, the museum has reached world standing and renown .
Reichstag (Seat of German federal parliament)Platz der Republik 1 | 11011 BerlinThe Reichstag building is one of the most visited sights of Berlin . Since the relocation of the German government from Bonn to Berlin, more than 15 million visitors have been counted . Especially, the glass dome is an attraction for lo-cals and tourists alike .
Glienicke BridgeKönigstraße | 14109 BerlinThe most attractive countryside in the already very green Berlin is located in the outer southwest of the city – where Berlin and the capital of Brandenburg Potsdam meet . The Glienicker Bridge, built in 1907, on the main road has long been a legendary venue of the Cold War . On the bridge the U .S . and the Soviet Union exchanged their spies . Today the bridge is an unspectacular connection between Berlin and Potsdam . However, it has to offer a very nice view over the magical landscape Havel .

Christmas Garden Berlin15 .11 .2018–6 .01 .2019 | daily 16:30–22:00Königin-Luise-Straße 6 | 14195 BerlinFrom November to January the Botanical Garden in Berlin turns into a brightly coloured winter fairyland with illumina-tions, magic woods and light sculptures .
