Before beginning installation, remove all packaging fromthe appliance. Some parts are protected with an adhesivefilm which should be carefully removed. Any remnants of glue should be thoroughly cleaned usingsuitable substances such as benzine. Under no circumstances should abrasive substances beused. Fit the legs to the appliance. The appliance must be level-led using a spirit level. Slight irregularities can be levelled by adjusting the feetthemselves.The main switch or plug should be located in the vicinity ofthe appliance and easy of access. We recommend installing the machine under a range hoodso that all the fumes are removed as quickly as possible. Make sure that all fire prevention standards and safety pre-cautions are strictly adhered to.
Legal and technical requisites When installing the appliance, the following safety stan-dards must be adhered to:
- Local accident prevention standards
- Current CEI standards.
InstallationInstallation, start-up and maintenance should only be car-ried out by expert personnel. All work required to install the appliance should be carriedout in compliance with all local standards and regulations. The manufacturers decline all responsibility where poorperformance is due to incorrect installation in disregard ofthe above conditions.
Warning!In compliance with international regulations, whenconnecting the appliance to the mains power supply, adevice with a minimum aperture of 3 mm between con-tacts must be fitted upstream of the appliance, al-lowing omnipolar disconnection of the appliance fromthe mains.
WiringWhen choosing the lead wire, make sure it has the fol-lowing characteristics: it should be at least of the H07 RN-F type and its section should be large enough for the ap-pliance (see "Technical specifications and dimensions",page 11). Wire entry on top models is on the back wall,and underneath all other models. In both cases the termi-nal board is at the front, behind the control panel.Pass the wire through the core hitch and wire clamp, plugthe leads into their terminals on the board and securethem. The earth lead must be a little longer than the othersso that it is the last lead to disconnect if the wire clampbreaks.
UnipotentialThe appliance must be connected up to a unipotentialsystem.The connection screw is located on all top models at theback on yhe right hand side, while in other models it islocated underneath the appliance on the right hand side. It is labelled.
Warning!The manufacturers cannot be held responsible for anydamage due to inadequate or incorrect installation.Under such circumstances the guarantee will be con-sidered null and void.

Warning! - Beware of inexpert handling!- Never leave the hotplates on unused!- Only use flatbottomed pots and pans, and make surethat the diameter of the pan is never smaller than thediameter of the hotplate it is being used on..
Ignition (Fig.1)Turn on the switch upstream of the appliance.Hot platesTurn the knob corresponding to the hotplate you wish touse, to a number between 1 and 6. The pilot lamp will lightup as soon as the appliance is on. We advise first turningthe hotplate up to maximum temperature. Once this hasbeen reached, turn the knob to the required heat To turnany hotplate off, simply turn the knob back to "0".
6 to begin cooking max. 5/10 min;
5 for high temperature cooking;
4 for medium temperature cooking;
3 to continue cooking large quantities;
2 to continue cooking small quantities;
1 to keep food hot or melt butter;
0 hotplate off.
Pyroceram model use (Fig. 2)Turn on the appliance using the switch at the top.Single power plates:Rotate the knob for the plate required in a clockwise direc-tion, remembering that the thinner part of the "comet" cor-responds to the minimum amount of power and the thickerpart corresponds to the maximum amount. The pilot lampwill come on indicating that the heating element has beenturned on.
Position ● corresponds to the fixed “on” setting of the hea-ting element.
Double power plates:Turn the knob for the plate required in a clockwise direc-tion, remembering that the thinner part of the "comet" cor-responds to the minimum amount of power and the thickerpart corresponds to the maximum amount. In this way,only the central part of the heating element will be turnedon (1200 w). By rotating the knob the whole way and retur-ning it to the position required, the external part of the hea-ting element will also be automatically switched on (2200w). The pilot lamp will come on indicating that the heatingelement has been turned on. In order to return to reducedpower mode, turn the plate off and then on again.
Oven (Fig. 3)Turn knob (A) to the type of cooking required. Turn thermostat (B) to the required temperature. Pilot lamp (C) will light up, indicating that the appliance ison.Pilot lamp (D) will light up, indicating that the resistancesare working; as soon as the required temperature is rea-ched, it goes off. When the resistances come on again, it lights up once mo-re. To turn the oven off, turn both knobs back to their origi-nal position.

The required temperature may be chosen by turning knob24: warning light 26 comes on and goes out when the ele-ments are switched on. To turn off the oven, turn the twoknobs to position ● (zero).
CLEANING AND TAKING CARE OF THEAPPLIANCE
Warning! Never clean the appliance with jets of water, whetherdirect or pressurised.
Thoroughly clean the appliance every evening after use.Daily cleaning means better performance and a longeruseful life.Before starting to clean the appliance, disconnect fromthe mains.** Remove all the extractable parts from the oven and washseparately. All steel parts should be washed in warm wa-ter, using a neutral detergent. Avoid using abrasive orcorrosive detergents which could damage the steel.
What to do if not using the appliancefor a long timeThoroughly clean and dry the machine as described.Disconnect the power supply**
What to do if something goes wrong If anything goes wrong, immediately turn the applianceoff, then turn off the power supply at the switch locatedupstream of the appliance, and call the aftersales depart-ment
MAINTENANCEAll maintenance should be carried out by qualified per-sonnel only. Before carrying out any maintenance work,unplug the appliance or turn off the switch upstream ofthe appliance**.
NOTE**Models with a voltage of 230 V 3 AC have 2 lead wires; re-member to cut off both power lines when disconnectingthese models; if only one or other of these leads is discon-nected the appliance will stay live.
Turning the electric oven on and of(Fig. 4)Select the type of heating required by turning knob 23,bearing in mind that the indicator light 25 stays on in allpositions.
This symbol indicates that the two interior oven li-ghts are on without any type of heating selected(optional).
Heating is both from above (ceiling element) andbelow (floor element). This is the traditionalcooking mode.
The bottom heating element is switched on(floor element). Heat therefore rises from bot-tom to top.
Heating is from top to bottom, as the top elementis switched on (ceiling element).
In this position the "grill" element, placed at thetop of the oven over the ceiling element, is swit-ched on.
As in the previous position with the fan switchedon (convection).
In this position the ceiling element (above), thefloor element (below) and the fan are all switchedon (convection).
Convection cookingIn this position the heat is produced by a circularelement placed on the back of the oven aroundthe fan.
Defrosting modeNo heating element is in operation; only the fan isswitched on to quickly defrost frozen foods.
