Ice cream is a temperature-sensitive good.Wrong delivery methods can cause the icecream to melt before reaching thecustomer.

LIMITED COVERAGE?

Conventional transport methods keep theice cream for around 30 minutes at theright temperature. This limits the radiusof the delivery area you can cover and thenumber of orders per trip.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

PCMs work similar to ice. Ice keeps the temperature constantat 0°C until it completely melts.PCMs do the same, but at differenttemperatures that can becustomized for specificapplications.

WHAT IS A PCM?

A PCM (phase change material) is amaterial that can keep a "specific"temperature constant for a longperiod of time.PCM

is yoursolution!

The temperature of ice cream should not exceed-10°C. Otherwise, it becomes subject to adversechanges in body, texture and flavor characteristics.

Normal ice packs keep the temperature constant at0°C, which is too high in the case of ice cream.

A PCM pack can keep the temperature constant at a sub-zero temperature. For example at -17°C, whichis perfectly suitable for ice cream.

PCM packs, together with the right insulation, cankeep the desired temperature from several hours upto several days!

How long will the PCMkeep my ice cream atthe right temperature?

The answer to this question depends on several factors:

- Dimensions of the transport box- Amount of PCM in the box- Amount of Ice cream in the box- Outside temperature

Example...- A foam box with the dimensions of 20 x 20 x 20 cm- 2 kg of a PCM that keeps the temperature around -15°C- Outside temperature +45°C
