• The Omnii platform was been developed to be flexible to adapt as your business needs change. This is Open innovation!
• As the next evolution of the Omnii platform, the XT15 Version takes the best features of the XT10 and adds new functionality to create a device that gives the greatest access to business applications.

Different connectors available for RFID integration
Be careful as most of them cannot be used due to electrical consumption constraints
Some of these connectors are already used by existing options like Barcode scanner, GPS, camera….

Chapter 4 : GPS & WWAN Options Impact on the Hardware
Location of the RCB (GPS only) :

If the GPS or WWAN option are installed, it will occupy the 100 pin connector.
GPS by default on the radio carrier board (RCB)
Unused pins duplicated to the J1 and J3 connectors -> still available for others devices

Chapter 5 : Expansion device requirements
Device EEPROM
Each expansion device must be equipped with a Maxim DS2431 EEPROM.
1 wire EEPROM is used
Give specific identifiers (Manufacturer and Model number)
Device Registry Keys
Registry keys and values must be added to the Omnii registry
Provide to Omnnii information about the device
Configure the data pins of the expansion port appropriately
