Why Use Cleaning Sheets?

12

Cleaning Sheet Format

Five Tabs/Worksheets include:1. How to Use this File Tab – Directions specifically for each tab

How to Use This File

This cleaning sheet has been specially prepared for your program. It contains questions on your data for which DACCC requires a response in order to process it. It also contains valuable information on the quality and structure of your data. Please respond to this cleaning sheet by January 6, 2009

How to Respond to this File

1. Share this sheet with your evaluator, if you have one

2. Review and complete the Response Required tab of the spreadsheet. The tab contains a list of questions and a space for writing in your response to the questions. If you do not respond by January 6, 2009, we will implement the default solution.

3. Review the Information Only tab. The tab contains a summary of items in your data that were cleaned automatically by DACCC. You do not need to respond to this tab.

4. Review the Details for Data Managers tab, if you wish. This tab is optional. It contains very detailed information about each record and variable where an issue was noted. This information allows data managers to pin point issues in their data set.

5. Review the Additional Details tab, if you wish. This tab is optional. It contains very detailed information that could not be placed on the Detailed Info Tab for space reasons.6. E-mail the completed cleaning sheet to the DACCC Data Management Team. Their e-mail address is dmt@mjdatacorp.com.
