1.1. What The BestOf Training Concept Is All About

Exploiting the maximum potential of an athlete / an individual person in the context of
performance and health.
– In other words:
Making the best of the current circumstances and resources.
In addition, we believe (and know) that a great team consists of high performing individuals.
Team performance can only be brought to an excellent level, if each individual excels to his
or her best possible level. In our eyes, the weakest athlete on the team is just as important
as the strongest to us.
– Improvement, improvement, improvement:
Improvement is the goal. If an athlete is not getting better, he or she is getting worse.
The BestOf Training Concept builds on continuous improvement in every area of an
athlete’s life to guarantee high performance, no matter what sport.
Instead of focusing only on problems, our approach is solution-oriented. We work with all
the resources that we have to our disposal. Therefore, we consider our expertise mainly in
finding the most appropriate solutions in regard of the prevalent conditions.

1.2. How BestOf Training Is Applied At GM-TRAININGS.COM By Professional Athletes
We are specialized in fitness training for professional athletes.
Additionally, we are able to provide services like specific sport training, e.g. shoot training
for football players or punch technique training for boxers based on biomechanical analysis
to maximize efficiency in speed and strength.
We have a lot of experience with professional athletes in specific sports, but our services
are also available for non-professional athletes or junior athletes.
2. Main Services
Our services in the context of BestOf Training for Pro Athletes can be mainly divided into
two areas:
First: Screening = Diagnosis / Analysis
and
Second: Training / Instruction / Consulting
Since we support clients in different countries, it is necessary to redesign and modify our
strategies and tools to the local circumstances and resources.
For instance, we train, coach and consult a Professional Football Team in China. When
working in their Olympic Center, we need a translator so that our analysis takes the double
amount of time than it would in the United States where we can exchange data directly in
English.
We work together with Hockey professionals who work out in US training centers in the
off-season during the summer. Therefore, we have to adapt to the training, nutrition and
medical plans our clients follow when they are overseas.
It is possible to set up a completely new structure for the development of your performance.
On the other hand, we are used to working together with existing departments of professi-
onal sports organizations, such as already hired medical doctors, physical therapists and
trainers. Without saying, we give our best to fit into your current organizational routines.
Basically, we can and are happy to provide any kind of performance support in any country.

2.2. Training / Instruction / Consulting
2.2.1. Training / Instruction
Prior to training, our screening procedures are mandatory. As the saying goes, “excellent
diagnosis is half the solution”. We avoid giving advice based on insufficient data. The
athlete’s time and health is too valuable. In case you do already have current and reliable
data from other experts (e.g. medical tests, performance tests), we are more than happy
to use it.
– We pursue 2 major goals in training:

An injured athlete won’t be able to perform in pro sports. Therefore, an athlete’s health
must be a major part in performance planning.
– Training with functional intention:
In professional sports, it is crucial how an athlete moves rather than if he or she looks
well-defined. On the one hand, we have experienced athletes who looked very lean and
well-conditioned, but couldn’t pass our agility requirements. On the other hand, we have
analysed athletes who superficially looked less well-conditioned, but showed great abili-
ties in agility, speed development and endurance.
Therefore, our training is built on functionality. We differentiate 2 crucial factors which tend
to get easily mixed up:
A) Effectiveness
B) Efficiency
While effectiveness refers to “doing the right things”, efficiency implies to “optimize doing
those right things”. Thus the order of events is always crucial. Only if we are sure about
what the individual athlete has to do (= effectiveness), can we start working on optimizing
(= efficiency).
Our main services for training are listed above in addition to the Screening Packages

– Training with individual focus:
Just because a whole team works out together doesn’t mean that all athletes need to do
the same things. Our entire work is based on finding ways that each athlete can better
reach his or her goals which automatically means that we must find out what each indivi-
dual athlete needs.
2.2.2. Consulting
In case our clients already do have their employed staff for training and only want a feed-
back about an athlete’s state of health or level of performance, we provide this service to
support the existing routines and structures.
As well as what GM-TRAINING.COM can do in the context of athlete analysis, we are ab-
solutely flexible about where you want us to help you in the context of performance and
health optimization, either about yourself (as an athlete) or about your athletes (as a head
coach or sports organization).
Our experience with professional athletes and sports organizations has shown that con-
sulting services need to be very individual. Every athlete has his own history of injuries,
training routines and habits. Every club has its own history of experiences, procedures and
obligations. Thus, setting up an individual architecture of resources, goals and timelines
is mandatory.

6. Performance And Health Report System
6.1. For Athletes
6.1.1. Screening-Report
The individual screening report contains the relevant data and interpretations that result
from the GM Trainings screening procedure. In addition to the personal presentation by GM
Trainings, the athlete will have significant information about his or her current health and
performance status. More importantly, the athletes will be presented with key points for
their individual improvement.
6.1.2. Training Program
According to the respective training focus, the athlete receives and gets introduced to an
easy to implement training program. How we present the program, and which media we
use, depends on the athlete’s preferences.
It depends on each athlete’s preferences what kind of presentation media we use, e.g.
written training plans, video training programs or audio programs.
6.1.3. Performance Report
Our performance report system is designed to help the athletes keep their individual goals
in mind. We are convinced (further it is scientifically proven) that only an athlete with clear
and understandable goals can reach the striven goals.
6.2. For Sports Managers, Head Coaches And Scouts
Dependent on the routines of each individual sports organization, our report system is
modified to the current requirements.
Our standardized report system contains a screening report as well as a defined plan
about goals and timelines which we call performance report in addition to every training
program.
